Demonstrating the beD200 food waste reduction system at the Health+Care Show 2015

Biotechnical Energy was delighted to be an exhibitor at the Health+Care show at London’s Excel centre last week with our beD200 food waste reduction system.

The show is the UK’s largest national event for health and care professionals with over 300 exhibitors and a selection of significant keynote speakers discussing topical issues of relevance to health and health care.

We were extremely excited to be able to take along one of our new beD200 waste reduction machines as they have enormous potential in the healthcare sector and care homes in particular.

The beD200 is amazingly simple but hugely powerful and has the effect of reducing any food waste by up to 80% in weight and volume which in turn means you save 80% on food waste removal costs.

It is incredibly easy to use – the beD200 just replaces an existing food waste bin and you add the same food/organic waste to it. The beD200 then uses our very latest technology to convert the food waste into a digestate just one fifth of the original weight and size overnight which can then be disposed of in the normal way.

As well as an immediate saving on food waste removal costs, the beD200 means you will need fewer food waste bins so it saves valuable space (not to mention the smell of rotting food waste).

Speaking after the show, Biotechnical Energy’s Ian Sawle said:

“The beD200 is a completely new and original idea for care homes but we were delighted that delegates at the event could immediately see the benefits. Also, because we are now able to offer a leasing option, we can demonstrate an immediate positive impact on cash flow. We look forward to helping a number of them save money and space at their care homes.”
